Sex Education In Reprint

For the past months, the DepEd and many sectoral groups of the country have passed a ball of thorns and wounds. Here are some facets of the move that should be considered:

Sex Education Iterinary

The DepEd wants to push through for a sex education of the youngsters to get them aware of the personal, hygienic, and health factors of sex. The program revolves around the establishment of ideas on how one can take good care of her or his life. The Department of Education of the country wants to teach our youngsters on how to deal with sex in the right way.

***Why is it that even the small kids be taught? Well, they say that the module is based on a systematic age to age process. That is fine. However, too much of the matter will not give proper education. One of the reasons why youngsters go after sex is peer pressure asserted by curiosity.

United Nations Yes Vote

The United Nations just issued a word for the approval of the item. The league said' "It is the obligation of thee state to ensure that all adolescent girls and boys are provided with accurate and appropriate information on how to protect their health and practice healthy behaviors."

***Healthy behaviors? Are you trying to tell me that sex is fine for as long as you practice healthy behaviors? Well, I believe in far better statement that you can give.

Religious Woes

Religious groups have been advocating the removal or stoppage of the education program. For them, it is not humane; it tries to snatch the liberty of the child to choose what must be put in his head. There is too much to total cancellation of the innocency of the lives among children. To the fact, there are religious groups whose doctrines and beliefs may be hindered or endangered because of this program.

***A point is made in there. However, that is just to general. If you are trying to say that liberty to choose what must be put in their head is a major concern, there are other children who want to learn the matter. There are parents who are fine with this program. Let us not try to advocate liberty while killing the freedom of the other.

In Depth

The Department of Education is just too late. And religious groups, especially the CBCP, are just obnoxious.

During my high school years in a Catholic school, sex education was taught with modules for hygiene, safe pregnancy, contraceptives and other portion in parenthood. There we go! That is total application of the program.

Then why many religious would cry their heart out in the streets when we are taught already? You are just wasting your time. You are killing your own self with a dagger. If you are advocating to no sex education, it should have been deleted out of the high school curricula I went to.

On the other hand, why would the great minds of the Department of Education push for the sex education among elementary and worst kindergarten? If you say, the module is different, and then tries to find another subject name for that. The department cannot even give adequate knowledge in various subjects right now in the foundational years of the child and now they want to add items for study. Are you nuts? You cannot even teach simple and major aspects of studies! Think it over.

I am not liberal with these views or am I extreme. What I am  trying to say is let us take a balance with all these things before we take hasty generalization that will lead us to the ditch.

Sannylee Veraces

I won't forget you dear cuz .. haha.

Shane? You bet. Who would forget the English of Shane? She's just too big to forget. (Oh honey am not referring to anything. Ask VJ! haha)

I love Shane because she brought me food each time I told her that I would be starving to death. hahaha. Name it. She got lots of food at home.  That answers it. No wonder she's a great lady not enough to forget.

Anyways, Shane loved to sing. You know, a songbird in the classroom and a psalmist in the Catholic Church. You bet I loved to hear her sing some ballads one day in Araneta. What a grand! ahaha. I know you would love that too if you're still alive by then. ahahaha

Oh my... I won't forget Shane coming to school at dawn like a real witch landing after the night trek. Hahaha. I can't take it out of my mind how she can keep up with her figure with not enough sleep? Have you wondered Ken?

Well, Shane loved to help. Like her seat mate and fellow member of the team Kiara, Shane loved to be Santa and provided us some papers. I think all of their team mates are like that. I guess Jemma was like that too.

Shane loved English but she hated math. She would asked VJ or Ken for some assignment notes. Is this true? Oh Blanch would tell LC about that classroom crime.

Shane is now in Manila. I guess she's going to the Palace as Noynoy's English adviser. ahahaha.

Bye-bye for now. I would hang Christopher next time.

Ich Libe Dich...

Vincent Jake Alivio

He loved numbers and he still do.

We call "Baga", not for bagag face but for bagag eyebrow. Amazing right?

They say he's a heartthrob (haha. feeling?) but in reality he is a love sick crying man (not anymore today, I guess. Do you agree?). I can still remember those days when Baga would come to school with heavy eyes. From crying? He said no... but we know better.

We loved VJ because he knew how to let us pass history of Mrs. Ancajas... Oh my! The long recitation of names of ASEAN leaders made me sick. And VJ would come to the rescue (together with other culprits at the back...right Ramon?... with me as accomplice of the crime) and he would put the notebook at the back of his Habagat bag (yaman... his bag is a wind monsoon... so dangerous during typhoon.); from there he would easily read the answer to all questions to that current event test.

But I would not forget the destruction that wit made. Ms. Edisan caught them both with the President. (Hi Ken)

Well, VJ was a great benefactor of the bulletin board expenses together with Laurel.

And Kiara loved VJ's antics and teasing. Right, tambok... daot...

Bye for now... Macky asked me to put him next. What can I do? Am a bad man.

Kiara May Ancajas

You want to hear the fresh news of the day? Ask her.

Whenever I wanted to hear the hottest news in the classroom and in the campus I would ask Kiara for the scoop. She knew almost all the matters that were made in the classroom.

Yet, she would probably whenever VJ told her that she's... oh I don't want to tell more. Let VJ tell you more. Hahaha.

Anyways, Kiara is kind... She's rich... hahaha... giving papers to almost all people who didn't have papers (like me). And she would make projects for me. Thanks.

Oh... and she loved food years ago and I just don't know right now. During lunch she would give me some food... I was not accustomed in bringing some foods with me for lunch. Thanks for the foods anyways.

Right now, I heard she's taking up some course which would make her to the US. Teaching pre- elementary students. I guess all of us would like to hear some "I have two hands, the left and the right" one day. You bet I love her to do the action song.

No offense dear.

Up next... VJ will take you hills over valleys (is the expression right?).

Mark Kenneth Albiso On Focus

Oh, that great man! You bet he was part of the section.

You can easily get the see this small man (sorry, it was years ago...hahaha) in any group of the room. You can find him with girls chatting all the way and getting some glances (oh my... are you that playboy buddy?) from them. You can find him with people who can talk about Cape Canaveral all the way through. You can find him with athletes but I guess he wasn't in the game.

Kenneth is a good guy who loves to talk and he loves to argue with ease and wonder. It is such a great thing that Kenneth was in love with cutting classes (like me...) especially during TLE (he mentored that...Is it an insult to your subject teacher?). But Ken was a wow. I guess twas him who can transcribe English to phonetic ways. (Oh Your Excellency...)

Well, anyways Ken was a great thinker but a cool headed guy. For my entire fourth year, I didn't see Ken with angry protestations. He swayed to every possible action for as long as the matter was right. And Ken loved Math (I guess that's why I loved to hang around with him because he looked like numbers).

For that entire year, I had seen Kenneth's great prowess. And now Kudos to the President! Salute him... President Marck Kenneth Albiso.

Up next...Kiara will be in the limelight.

Hope Rules

It all started with that bang!

Back then I was dreaming to be part of the Hope section. Why? I love that word perhaps. Yes, for throughout my summer I made by way to the section by levying teachers to put me in there.

That sounded devilish!

Well, on the first day of class, I went there late (sorry for the nature of tardiness...). I met Mrs. LC in the hallway and I asked if I were part of her section. She answered me with a single stare and asked me to carry the school handbook to the room.

There! With my constant levying, I made my way to the Hope section.

The first day of class started with the usual four year tradition of getting to know you scheme. I didn't like that, I was a kind of shy (react?). And so there the day passed with the glances, the questions of summer getaways and the round of laughter.

To round up, the section was made up of total community. The fatheads were there (don't like to mention...hahaha), the beauties turned the night into the day, the athletes were there competing with the music lovers. You bet right, the silent brainiacs were there as well.

It was a party with the perfect menus on the table for the taking. Actually, cliques were there but there would be a time to form a core to hang down the social cliques to one single team : The invasion of HOPEMATES!!!
